6th Grade Computers
This is a basic keyboarding class required for all sixth graders. Using a keyboard program, students will complete lessons covering the alphabet, numbers, and the punctuation keys. These are reinforced through basic drill, games, and beginning word processing. Students will also complete assignments that introduce various word processing commands. Additionally, students will create a product that incorporates two or more computer applications. Discussion and practice of responsible computer use will be emphasized.
7th Grade Math
This course will focus on the 7th grade state indicators. This will include the following topics: data toolbar, number theory and algebraic reasoning, integers and rational numbers, operations with rational numbers, proportional reasoning, percents, plane figures, perimeter, circumference, area, volumes and surface area.
Pre-Algebra
This course will focus on the state indicators. This will include the following topics: algebra toolbox, integers, exponents, rational, real numbers, collecting, displaying, analyzing data, plane geometry, perimeter, area, volume, ratios, similarity, and percents.
