Thanks for checking out my bio on the school’s website! I hope to meet you in person, too!
This is my sixth year teaching at Sabetha High School, but I have been teaching for sixteen years. Previous teaching experiences include Bern High School, Augusta High School, and Centre Jr.-Sr. High School. Here at SHS I teach English I and Academic Resource. I also advise the yearbook staff and coach the high school cheerleading squad.
I grew up on a farm south of Marysville, where my parents still live. After I graduated from Valley Heights High School, I chose to attend a small, private university (Kansas Wesleyan University—Go ‘Yotes!) so that I could continue to pursue all the activities in which I had been involved in high school. I have two children: Lexie and Conrad. My family is rounded out with three sisters, two brothers-in-law, three nephews and a niece, a dog Grady, three cats Master Chief, Monsieur Beau, and Ninja, and our hamster Mickey.
Some of my hobbies include reading, horseback riding, singing, acting, photography, and watching Glenn Beck on GBTV.
I am excited about meeting as many community members as I can, so please feel free to stop by my room at any time. I love visitors!
