Personal:
Janie Glace graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she and her husband, Bill, worked in Haiti 2 yrs. for Dr. Mellon of Hospital Schweitzer and with OMS International, 4 yrs. They have raised 4 children, Gina, Kim, Shelly, and Ben. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing with grandchildren, traveling, jogging, and playing the piano.
Professional:
She has taught at the Sabetha Elementary School since 1983. Presently, she is teaching in 4th grade. In 2004, she received one of the three Kansas Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math in Science. Also, she was recognized by former students for the Who's Who Among America's Teacher in 2005-2006, and 2006-2007. Janie has taken math training to be a presenter for AIMS, and has presented at KATM State Math Conferences, and NEKATM meetings.
