Coach Platt's Bio

Hello my name is Trent Platt. I am currently the Vo-Ag instructor at Bern High School. It has been 5yrs. since I began my teaching career and it started here in Bern. I was a para for 3yrs prior to receiving my teaching certificate, and have coached in Bern for 11yrs. I have been the Athletic Director for 5yrs. now, and hopefully getting better at it each year. When I am not working or coaching you would be able to find me with my family, watching sports, or at a nice pond fishing. Growing up on a dairy farm and owning one after college, Vo- Ag was a career that intrigued me, since I love agriculture and kids teaching came naturally to me. It gives great satisfaction to see a student learn something or hear a story they had never heard about before. Bern is a great place to live and raise a family, I have three children Cort in college, Taylor a Jr. Jennifer a Jr. Bethany a 7th grader, Martika a 5th grader, Miche'le a 4th garder and my wife of 19 yrs Diana. It is a great pleasure to be able and work with each and everyone of the students at Bern. Thank you Trent
