    Hello! I am the Music teacher at Axtell and Bern. I grew up near Crab Orchard, Nebraska and attended Lewiston Schools. After graduating, I moved to Washington DC where I was a nanny for a few years. When I came back to Nebraska I went to Peru State College and received my BA in K-12 Instrumental and Vocal Education. My first teaching job was at Monroe Middle School in Omaha for four years. Then I found this little slice of heaven in Nemaha County KS. I've been at Bern for five years and Axtell for two.
    Teaching carries over to after school for me as well, I teach private piano lessons to numerous students from SPPS, NV, Centralia, and Bern. I enjoy anything and everything associated with the Arts – movies, museums, concerts, etc. Some of my hobbies include playing the piano, listening to music, reading, and watching the new TV show GLEE!
    My teaching assignments include all General, Instrumental, and Vocal classes at Bern K-12 and Axtell 6-12. Extras include; Bern Pep Band, Axtell Pep Band, Bern Select Choir, Axtell Show Choir, Bern PDC Chair, Bern Co-Director School Play.
