Janet Argo 5th and 6th Grade at Summerfield
by Janet Argo
I grew up on a farm around Adams, Nebraska, and graduated from Adams High School in 1975. I received my bachelor's degree in education from the University of Nebraska. After graduation my husband, Doug, and I moved to Liberty, Nebraska. I taught grades 6-8 at Liberty for one year. In 1980 I took the middle school job at Summerfield. I taught Math and Science to grades 6-8 for two years. I decided to take a few years off from teaching when my two older children were born. I returned to teaching at Summerfield in the fall of 1985. Since then I have taught various grades and subjects. In the fall of 2011 I transferred to Axtell where I teach 6th grade. My husband and I have three children: Jared and wife Allie of Marysville, Charis and husband Sam Dunlap of Home, and Colby who is attending UNL. Doug is a crop adjustor and farms. I enjoy my family most, reading a good book, and being active in my church by teaching the 2 and 3 year old Sunday School class, teaching Sunday night Cubbies, and leading or attending Bible studies.
