Summerfield Winter Concert

On December 21st the Summerfield Elementary School held their annual Winter Concert. The Preschool and Kindergarteners started the program with a few Christmas selections. Two of their songs were “We Will Jingle” and “The World Says Merry Christmas” using small hand bells.
Several students performed piano solos followed by the 5th Grade Band. Here is a picture of some of the band members performing their selections, such as “Rock Star” and “Big Beat Boogie”.
Grades 1-5 presented the play “Christmas at the OK Corral” by Teresa Jennings. The students were presented with a dilemma as mean old Bubble Gum Bart decided that the tow of Snowy Gulch didn’t need to celebrate Christmas this year. After emailing Santa and Santa sends the Candy Cane Kid to help straighten out the situation, the town was able to have a western Christmas celebration after all.
Following the program a Book Fair was held in the school. Clifford was able to come and visit with the students. The younger students enjoy the books about him. We hope everyone had an enjoyable evening.
